  • Are these exercises suitable for all fitness levels and ages?

    They sure are! We provide beginner and advance adaptations for many of the exercises, so you can tailor them to participants of different fitness levels and with different mobility issues. Hip, knee and shoulder issues are commonly addressed!

  • How long does it take to complete the course?

    You can work through the course at your own pace, and come and go as many times as you need. Most instructors finish in 7-8 hours, depending on whether they join in on our sample workouts.

  • Do I get any downloads with my enrollment?

    Absolutely! We want to give you everything you need to put together a great bodyweight workout. There are handouts for you, summary sheets if you are a member, and class plan templates for you to print off and start using to build your classes. There is also a Course Workbook with all the exercises included.

  • Is there an assessment on the theory?

    To obtain your certificate, you must successfully complete a multiple-choice quiz. This ensures that you grasp the key concepts and information presented in the course, particularly regarding proper technique and considerations when teaching and adapting bodyweight exercises in older adult classes.

  • What if I fail the quiz?

    Don't worry! You can take the quiz as many times as you need to, so we guarantee that you will be able to complete the course and claim your certificate, even if it takes you a little longer!

  • Is 'Standing Bodyweight for Older Adults' accredited?

    Yes! Accreditation points are currently available for PAA (3PDPs), AUSactive (7CECs), FITREC (30pts), NZ Reps (5.5CPDs), SPRA (9CECs), and BCRPA (9CECs).

  • If I sign up now can I do the course later?

    Absolutely! Our Professional Members have ongoing access to all their course enrolments. If you're not yet a member, you have 12 months to complete the course. You can revisit the course as many times as you wish within this period for refreshers or to gain new insights.

This meant I got a complete understanding of the ways to incorporate bands into an exercise program. The exercise notes are printable making them a useable reference for future use. The format of the course was a real strength. Trudi clearly explained each resistance band exercise and Carol covered the practical side, demonstrating each exercise showing clear and precise movements. This meant that good technique and control was always a focus. So all in all a great course for instructors looking to widen their knowledge of how to effectively use resistance bands in their exercise programs.
