Have you ever used wooden spoons in your aged care or frail population classes? It might be a little unusual, but it is a great way to improve co-ordination, build muscles and flexibility, add noise to your classes, and get your participants laughing and engaging in class. And you know we like doing things a little differently here!

Designed for fitness instructors, allied health assistants, and activities co-ordinators. Let us do the work for you and give you the tools you need to plan your next class.

These exercises are perfect for seniors with limited mobility, who may not be able to stand for long periods of time, who struggle with their co-ordination, or need to improve their overall fitness. They are all seated, set at a slower pace, and easily adaptable for people of all abilities. We want to see as many people participating and engaging with the exercises as possible, so the emphasis is on having a go while staying safe.

We've 50 exercises that have the spoons tapping to the left and to the right, as well as up and down, in front and behind. You can provide spoons for your class, or get them to show a little personality and ask then to bring something from home to use!

• Video demonstrations of every exercise with all the tips and technique to teach confidently
